The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship will be fought for between Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Tyler Reddick and William Byron, as they strive to win the 76th championship in Cup Series history. The race will also be the 11th since the Championship Four format was established in the 2014 season.
Already a two-time Cup champion, Logano earned the title in both 2018 and 2022, though he also suffered Championship Four defeats in 2014, 2016 and 2020. In addition to the two championships with Logano, the #22 car has also won the Cup title in 1949 and 1983 with a pair of Alabama natives in Red Byron and Bobby Allison respectively.
Blaney makes his second Championship Four appearance as he looks to score back-to-back titles, driving the #12 ride to the 2023 championship in what was also the only Cup Series crown for the number.
After coming up short in his only past Championship Four appearance last year, Byron looks to continue the rich legacy of the 24 car as it also won Cup titles in 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2001 with Jeff Gordon behind the wheel.
The only newcomer to the Championship Four scene, Tyler Reddick will attempt to make history with the 45 car, as not only has the number never won a Cup Series championship but it has also never before finished inside the top-five in the final standings.
Looking forward to a good race!
