We all know that drill. To make it into the NBA, you’ve got to be big. Right? Well, Not necessarily. Some of the most talented NBA pros were not exactly the Michael Jordon types, yet they could certainly give him a run for his money. Take a look at our list of 5 Shortest NBA Players Ever. 

Number ten (10) : Charlie Criss. Standing at just 5’8, this incredibly talented pro displayed great determination, which took him far in his thriving career. They say dynamite comes in small packages, and apparently, it does! 

Number Nine (9) : Keith “Mister” Jennings. This 5’7 bite-sized piece of talent, said that he found his height to be an advantage against the bigger guys, as he could sneakily weave his way through the battlefield. Apparently this held some truth, and helped him climb the basketball food chain, with ease.

Number eight (8) : Monte Towe. This 5’7 fellow was often referred to as an underdog in the world of NBA, thanks to his small stature, however, he proved everyone wrong by displaying his indispensable qualities in a team. He was fast, agile, and lightweight enough to Juke out just about every basketball giant.

Number Seven (7) : Wataru “Wat” Misaka. Also 5’7, Wataru was not only famous for being so short, but also for being the first Non-Caucasian member of the NBA. He rose to fame in ’47, and rose to the challenge of hoopology, by securing his place in NBA history forever. 

Number Six (6) : Louis “Red” Klotz. This vibrant bright-eyed man had equally bright red hair – it was his trademark, that made him stand out from the crowd. His skills were also blinding, and sparked to life when he joined the NBA as a point guard in ’47, going on to actually BUY the American Basketball League’s Philadelphia Sphas. Talk about a tall order! 

Number Five (5) : Greg Grant. This dominating dynamo may have been vertically challenged at 5’7, but horizontally on the court, he ruled. His endless amounts of energy never failed to hype up the crowd, giving the performance of a lifetime – every time.
