Since I've enjoyed the NBA even though I've always been a New York Knicks fan and liked the game of Patrick Ewing who was a warrior on the court, I've never seen a center as complete as Hakeem Olajuwon, even the legendary Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, David Robinson, or Shaquille O'Neal, had the amazing mobility and moves that Olajuwon had.

Hakeem Olajuwon, who was known as The Dream, had the most elegant and ingenious low post moves in the entire NBA, it was difficult for his opponents to score with so many resources available to the African from Lagos, Nigeria.

It's unforgettable for me the 1994 NBA final where Olajuwon had his best arsenal to beat the great and competitive New York Knicks. In those finals Olajuwon showed off his nickname The Dream, made a great season and a great performance in the finals, was a determining factor for the Rockets championship that year and next.

I think the Nigerian was a very intelligent player with a lot of resources, he had a key factor, he was a tireless worker and he liked to train constantly to perfect his amazing movements in painting.

He is the only African player to be an NBA MVP in the 1993-94 season.

I recommend you watch this interesting documentary about Hakeem Olajuwon:
