This season will be very interesting in many ways and a new star will emerge who will fight to win the rookie of the year award, it will be a race we will enjoy. So let's start by breaking down the top five candidates from my perspective.

Luka Doncic

Many of us who are basketball lovers have already seen Luka Doncic's game and we have seen him play with his Slovenian national team and at just 19 years of age, he has a determination and potential that is seen in very few youngsters, he has an excellent reading of the game, a great shot from the perimeter, he is a good passer-by, he is a tall player who assumes the base position with great criteria.

He did a great job in Europe with Real Madrid, he is Eurobasket champion with his Slovenian team, so he comes with very good scrolls, he just needs to adapt his game firmly to the NBA.

Deandre Ayton

Powerful versatile center that plays several positions on the court, is what could be said a position 5 of the modern age, as it has a good throwing perimeter and attacks the ring bluntly with much determination, the truth this year brings us some interesting prospects and it will be fun to see them play, if their adaptation is fast, which is what is expected to be key in the Phoenix Suns, which are in need of a presence again in the playoffs.

Jaren Jackson Jr.

From Jaren Jackson Jr. I spoke in one of my previous publications, when I started at Scorum, I think it's a modern center with a lot of potential, it's also a fairly young player who likes to work, is aggressive towards the basket, goes strong to defensive and offensive rebounds, is a good defender, also has long distance shooting and you can tell he's still working on it. It's a modern center that's also aspiring to be rookie of the year. The Grizzlies will be counting on him.

Here's the previous issue where I talked about Jackson:

Collin Sexton

Dynamic, fast, offensive, with good vision of the court and good ball passing ability, he has a perimeter shot and makes the ball travel very quickly across the court as I mentioned at the beginning. He is another of the good players who aspires to the title because he is the best rookie. Cavs without Lebron will now depend on a new star.

Wendell Carter Jr.

It is a center with interesting movements, very effective in painting, with many resources from back to basket, also has shooting from the perimeter, now most of the modern pivots have in their arsenal of this type of throw that adapts to the new times, also has good reading of the game and great mobility despite their height, has the ability to pass the ball and shows consistency in their play. Carter Jr. Another on the list of those who aspire to be the best in their first season.

I designed this list of 5 NBA rookie players to win the prize this way because they are the most likely to win it, but there are other players who also aspire and have great potential to fight for it, only I focused on the strongest odds.

What I like most about Scorum is that I can write about sports, specifically my field of expertise, that I am most attracted to and passionate about basketball, especially the NBA and national team championships.

I hope you enjoyed this publication, as you always do with all the topics I choose to develop, leave me your opinions and comments, who do you think will win the NBA rookie this season?
