Tonight we will take a look at a match between Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks, which will take place at State Farm Arena, the home of the Hawks. This will also mark the second H2H match between the two teams, after the first one ending in Memphis Grizzlies favour (105:97)

Atlanta Hawks come into this match as the 12th team in the Eastern Conference, where they sit with a 23-45 record and a 2-3 record in the last 5 played. Looking back at their most recent five fixtures, Hawks lost to Miami Heat (114:113), San Antonio Spurs (104:111) and Brooklyn Nets (112:114). On the bright side, Hawks defeated Chicago Bulls (118:123) and most recently New Orleans Pelicans (128:116).

While they won't finish in the playoffs, Hawks still look to still finish strong and build towards the future seasons under their new coach Lloyd Pierce.

Coming into this match, Atlanta managed to defeat Pelicans with 12 points to spare (128:116), which now puts them at an excellent 9-3 ATS record in the last 12 games. Despite that, I do not expect them to have an easy time against Grizzlies who have improved drastically in recent fixtures.

The visiting team, Memphis Grizzlies are as well looking towards the future, which they hope will look better than this season. As it stands now, Grizzlies are holding a 28-40 overall record and an impressive 4-1 record in the last 5 fixtures. In the course of the last five fixtures, Memphis managed to defeat Dallas Mavericks (81:111), Portland Trail Blazers (120:111), Utah Jazz (114:104) and Orlando Magic (105:97), but failed to do the same against Oklahoma City Thunder (99:95) on March 4th.

With an impressive run behind them, much of their success in recent matches is due to good work of their young players, which points towards a better season next year, and in the future in general. Of course, their big men and their performances should also be given some credit, as they were a huge presence in all the last 5 fixtures of Memphis.

Memphis Grizzlies will arrive into this match without Kyle Anderson and Jaren Jackson Jr., on the other side, Atlanta Hawks will miss Alex Poythress and Omari Spellman.

Memphis will come into this match with confidence after a great performance against Orlando Magic. Looking back at that fixture, I was impressed by the work of their big men, more specifically Noah and Valanciunas who continue with their good performances and are not expected to slow down anytime soon. That will prove to be a huge advantage for Memphis Grizzlies in the match against Atlanta Hawks, who despite possessing good offensive power in the paint severely lack any defensive talent when it comes to defending the paint. While they still have Trae Young who has been the key man in Atlanta Hawks offence, I do believe Conley and Bradley are capable of stopping him, especially after Young struggles in recent matches. This alone means Grizzlies will be able to slow down Atlanta's' attack as a whole. Taking all into consideration, I do expect Memphis Grizzlies to utilize their strong defence and shut down Atlanta Hawks while taking advantage of Hawks poor defence inside the paint, where I expect Noah and Valanciunas to shine.

All points towards the win of the visiting team, which is why we will back up Grizzlies to win their 4th match in a row.

Prediction: Memphis Grizzlies to win
