Only 5 days after Hornets hosted Nets at Spectrum Center, we will get a chance to see a rematch, only this time the clash will take place at Barclays Center, Brooklyn, where these two teams will meet for their 4th H2H match of the NBA season.

Brooklyn Nets are coming into this match as the 6th team in the East, where they sit with an overall record of 32-31 and a 3-2 record in their last 5 played. Prior to tonight's match, Nets enjoyed a 2 game winning streak, when they defeated Hornets (115:117) and Spurs (101:85), however, it came to an end yesterday when Nets were defeated by Washington Wizards (116:125).

Looking at the match against Wizards, Nets once again underperformed in the offensive end, which is an issue this team has had for a while. While they have players capable of scoring points, they are still widely inconsistent with their scoring and as already mentioned before, I believe their offence can get shut down relatively easy.

On the other side, we have got Charlotte Hornets, who are coming into this match with a terrible run of 2-7 in the last 9 games, which resulted in them dropping to the 9th place in the East. Looking solely at their last 5 games, Hornets have only managed to defeat Washington Wizards (123:110), however Orlando Magic (127:89), Brooklyn Nets (115:117), Golden State Warriors (110:121) and most recently Houston Rockets (113:118) all proved to be too strong. Now with 3 consecutive defeats, Hornets will hope to win against Nets, who already defeated them less than a week ago.

The reason for Charlotte downfall in recent games is that they rely too much on Kemba Walker to carry the team. While he is an excellent player, who can perform day in and day out, Hornets are riding him too hard. In the last 3 games played, Kemba Walker played 35, 40 and 36 minutes, all without any proper rest, which resulted in his shooting becoming slightly worse and a bit inconsistent.

Looking into this match, Brooklyn Nets and Charlotte Hornets both fail to perform at a level they would have hoped. While Nets still hang on to the playoffs spot, Charlotte lost it due to a terrible run of 7 losses in the last 9 games. As I already mentioned, both teams struggle offensively, with their inconsistent shooting. On the other side, they are both at least decent on the defensive end. Or in other words good enough to stop each other from scoring. In conclusion, we believe this match will end up under the 228 line, which is just far too high if we take into consideration how inconsistent these two teams are when it comes to scoring.

Prediction: Under 228.00 points
