The Los Angeles Clippers are without a doubt the true winners of the 2019 NBA Free Agency after landing both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. It was a long process. The Clippers do what they have to do to recruit Kawhi Leonard. There are lots of people involved. And it was hard competing with other big market teams like the Los Angeles Lakers.
Clippers coach Doc Rivers shared how he talk to Kawhi Leonard during the recruitment process. He revealed to Andrew Greif of "The Los Angeles Times" how he talk to Kawhi when the opportunity came.
Doc Rivers didn't talk about anything outside basketball. He understands that Leonard is not interested in anything outside basketball. So, he just talks about winning, playing and being competitive. He thinks that Leonard wanted to join an already competitive team than to join a team who's undergoing a rebuilding process.
