This one is one of the biggest surprises of the 2019 NBA Free Agency. After so many rumors about Jimmy Butler joining the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets and staying with the Philadelphia 76ers, he ended up joining the Miami Heat via sign-and-trade. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Jimmy Butler deal is already complete after days of finalizing it.
The deal includes Josh Richardson going to the Philadelphia 76ers. A shooting guard who averaged 16 points a game last season and will likely be the starting shooting guard for the Sixers. And for Miami, the 4-time all-star Jimmy Butler will be their new franchise player and will try to compete in the Eastern Conference to get back to the playoffs once again. Butler will sign a max contract of 4-year $142 million.
