Thanks to their 113-101 win against Memphis, the Warriors will finish 8th in the Western Conference. Stephen Curry was one again the clutch for Warriors, he finished the game with 46 points.
Despite their 98-110 victory in New Orleans, the Los Angeles Lakers are scheduled to play the play-in tournament. Led by LeBron James’ 25 points, the Lakers had done their part of the job against the Pelicans but Portland dominated Denver 132-116 to secure 6th place and avoid the ‘play-in’, the barrage for the last two tickets for the playoffs. The Blazers will play the Nuggets (3rd) in the first round of the playoffs while the Los Angeles Clippers (4th) will face Dallas (5th).
The loser of the play-in between the Warriors and the Lakers will play the winner of the game between Memphis, 9th, and San Antonio, 10th. The winner of this confrontation will face Utah in the first round of the playoffs.
In the East, Milwaukee (3rd) will face Miami (6th) and New York (4th) Atlanta (5th). Returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2013, the Knicks secured ground advantage in the first round by beating Boston 96-92.
Boston will face Washington in the ‘play-in’. The winner of this duel will face Brooklyn in the first round. The loser will play against the winner of the game between Indiana, 9th and Charlotte who slipped to 10th place. The winner of this game will face Philadelphia, 1st in the East with their 128-117 victory over Orlando.
