Another four BIG3 games was played this Friday. Every team tried to complete their tasks. Someone tried to win their first regular game, someone fought for the playoff spot, and someone compete for the 1st place in the league.
Killer 3's - Trilogy - 39:52 (22:25, 17:27)
Killer 3's: Josh Powell (14 + 5 rebounds), Stephen Jackson (11 + 8 rebounds)
Trilogy: Al Harrington (19 + 5 rebounds + 2 assists), Derrick Byars (13 + 1 rebound)
Trilogy came up this week with 3 losses in 3 games. Trilogy needed a victory, to keep alive their hopes for clinching playoff spot. And they got this win. Al Harington was the best main in the team. He scored 19 points and made 3 threepoint shots. Noteworthy that Metta World Peace, one of the Killers 3's leader, was ejected from the game in the first minutes of action.
3's Company - Ball Hogs - 50:40 (27:24, 23:16)
3's Company: DerMarr Johnson (15 + 7 rebounds + 3 assists), Andre Emmett (10 + 3 rebounds), Baron Davis (10 + 3 rebounds)
Ball Hogs: Jermaine Taylor (14 + 1 rebound), DeShawn Stevenson (11 + 3 rebounds)
Ball Hogs were able to compete with 3's Company only in the 1st half, where they failed to score free throw point shot from outside the arc with the tied score at 24:24. In the 2nd half of the game 3's Company outplayed the opponent by 7 points and finished with 10 point lead. Baron Davis and DerMarr Johnson scored 5 three pointers in this game.
Power - Ghost Ballers - 50:45 (20:25, 30:20)
Power: Corey Magette (19 + 7 rebounds + 3 assists), Glen Davis (11 + 7 rebounds)
Ghost Ballers: Ricky Davis (16 + 2 assists), Carlos Boozer (15 + 16 rebounds)
This game was quite principled for both teams. Power in case of victory would strengthen their playoff positions, but Ghost Ballers would go up from the bottom of the table. Ghost Ballers center Carlos Boozer scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, but that was not enough to win both halfs of the game. Corey Maggette came with 19 points and proved why he was current BIG3 scoring leader. Power got their 3rd win in 4 games, and Ghost Ballers became first team with zero wins.
Tri-State - 3 Headed Monsters - 48:50 (25:17, 23:33)
Tri-State: David Hawkins (15 + 3 rebounds + 3 assists), Amare Stoudemire (14 + 6 rebounds)
3 Headed Monsters: Reggie Evans (18 + 13 rebounds + 2 assists), Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (14 + 4 assists), Qyntel Woods (10 + 2 rebounds)
Two leading teams of BIG3 league have met in the first game of WEEK 4. 3 Headed Monsters has won in the very tenacious game. Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf played pick'n'roll with Qyntel Woods, as a result combination was finished the amazing dunk over Amare Stoudemire.
