Hey basketball fans! Today I'll give you another NBA Preseason game recap. And today we will have the San Antonio Spurs VS the Miami Heat.

One of the blockbuster trades that happened this off-season is the DeMar DeRozan and Kawhi Leonard trade and it's DeMar's debut with the San Antonio Spurs in the 2018 Preseason. Spurs was able to beat Miami in a close fight 104-100 on Sunday night.

DeMar just played 18 minutes in his first game as a Spur and he only posted 7 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. When you watch the game, you will see that DeMar is still used to his isolation game and has not been into Greg Popovich system yet. I believe he's trying his hard to be an effective player in Coach Pop's style but it will not be easy for him. In my opinion, LaMarcus Aldridge can help him with this matter.

Aldridge himself experienced the same thing. He's also an isolation superstar who loves to just have the ball in the post and create on his own. But the all-star forward tried his best to be very efficient in the Spurs' system. He sacrificed some touches for the Spurs to be able to move the ball more and let all his team mates touch the ball until they find the open man with the prettiest look to make a basket. Aldridge now has established himself as a big man who is well-fitted in Coach Pop's intelligent basketball and I'm sure DeRozan will learn these things in no time.

It was a pretty nice game for the Spurs' starting 5 as they finished with great numbers despite the limited minutes they played. Rudy Gay had some hot shooting night only 14 minutes of action as he hits a perfect 3 for 3 from down and totaled 13 points and 5 rebounds. LaMarcus Aldridge finished the game with 10 points and 5 rebounds in 16 minutes only while Dejounte Murray added 8 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.

On the other hand, new Spurs players like Jakob Poeltl and Marco Belinelli had a pretty decent game. Poeltl scored 6 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Belinelli had 9 points, 1 rebound and 3 assists. Davis Bertans made 3 three-pointers and finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.

It's a new and fresh start for San Antonio as the Big Three Era of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker has now ended and the new look Spurs will now try to continue the Spurs' winning history.

As for Miami, the Heat now doesn't have any major changes in their roster and the Hassan Whiteside drama still continues. But the Jimmy Butler rumors are making their hopes high and if they acquire Butler, they will surely be among the top teams in the Eastern Conference from being only a playoff contender or in the top 6 to 8. Let's just see if there will be more changes in their roster before the season begins.

Miami will face the Charlotte Hornets next on Tuesday night, October 2 while the Spurs' next opponent will be the Detroit Pistons on October 5.
