Do you still remember Kristaps Porzingis? He hasn’t been playing for a long time now and I am very sad to see him down after a great stint early in his career. He’s one of the best stretch big in today’s NBA but a severe injury puts him in the sidelines. Kristaps is a special talent and I’ve never seen someone who was booed in Draft night then became a great player at his level. New York’s bad impression on him changed as he rapidly proved them wrong and became the crowd favorite in New York. The Unicorn averaged 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks a game shooting 40 percent from the three-point line in the 2017-2018 season before the injury.

Kristaps tear his ACL last season and he’s still recovering from it and has not stepped on the court since then. The Knicks still hasn’t brought up some news or any updates on Kristaps’ injury for a long time but they are saying that there is no guarantee that Porzingis can play this season and the worst case, maybe they wouldn’t play him totally this season. As far as we know, it’s a good thing to make sure he comes back healthy even if they sacrifice 1 season just to make sure he is fully recovered.

The latest we heard from the Knicks is from Coach David Fizdale and he said Porzingis is getting there. He said Kristaps can now shoot the ball and can run slightly but he is not doing any serious jumps and still being cautious. It’s hard for him he said, he has been rehabbed for nine months and that was a very long time of not playing basketball. He needs time to get back and retain the player he is before the injury. The Latvian center is the best player for the New York Knicks and maybe they are really taking along time and not risking his healthy for the foreseeable future.

Let’s wait and see when will Porzingis hit the floor again.
