Hello basketball fans and scorum fans out there! I'm here once again to have some basketball talk with you guys. Now, I am going to talk about the New York Knicks' top priority for the 2019 free agency and their target is none other than "Uncle Drew" Kyrie Irving.

The New York Knicks is one of the biggest markets in the NBA but they haven't found success for years now. Carmelo Anthony bring the Knicks to the playoffs for few years and has been the team's franchise player and cornerstone but they always came up short and Melo wasn't able to bring them to the Finals. I don't know what's the problem because the Knicks always do their best to give Anthony the best role players around him but they never become a dominant team. The Knicks struggled making it to the playoffs in Anthony's last years with them so they decided to part ways.

Knicks drafted a promising prospect in Kristaps Porzingis and he looks like a formidable force in the future but injuries stopped him from emerging early in his career. Also, Porzingis alone is not enough to bring the Knicks to the playoffs again but he will be New York's cornerstone and the number 1 option.

Knicks' young guard Frank Ntilikina is good but has so many lapses. His defense is okay and his play making is just fine but his offensive abilities are limited. Last NBA draft, the Knicks was able to draft another promising player in Kevin Knox. Kevin looks like a stud in the making and has a lot of potential to be a two-way star. He's very impressive in his summer league stint and i think he can be part of the Knicks future.

This 2019, there will be a lot of top tier talents available in free agency and the Knicks will be one of the teams that has the biggest chance to lure one of the top free agents. There are talks circling around the league that Kyrie Irving is the first, second and third priority of the Knicks and they will do everything they can to lure the all-star point guard.

Though Irving announces his desire to stay with the Boston Celtics, I don't think that it's a sure thing. Irving can change his mind and many things can happen in one season. He is in a good position today in Boston and that's the best thing for him to do but I still believe that it's not always a sure thing even if he announces it publicly.

Let's see what will happen when that time comes and let's just focus now in the upcoming season.
