Hey basketball fans! Today I'll bring you another basketball talk and I'll feature one of the hottest news in the NBA right now. It's about Kyrie Irving recruiting another top tier superstar, Anthony Davis.
Recently, in front of the fans in TD Garden, all-star guard Kyrie Irving promises the Boston Celtics that he will be resigning with them. But “Uncle Drew” has a bigger plan for Boston’s future as he was reportedly trying to recruit other superstars to join him in Boston. It’s said that he is really trying hard to convince other stars to be part of Boston’s future together with him. But the greatest news about Kyrie's decision is recruiting a top 5 player in the league, it's all-star forward/center Anthony Davis. Davis is arguably the best power forward in the NBA today and adding him next to Kyrie would mean something special.
Even though Davis' contract is until the summer of 2021 before it expires, Boston still has a chance to push for a blockbuster trade. They have a lot of asset to composed a very decent package in exchange for Anthony Davis. They have Gordon Hayward, rising stars Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Terry Rozier. There is also Marcus Smart and future 1st round picks. Boston has many options and the Pelicans will have many options to choose to.
Al Horford is Boston's best player last year when Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward was out but Celtics should also consider including Horford in a deal to acquire Anthony Davis. Losing Horford will hurt the team but replacing him with Davis will vastly improve the team. Davis can complement with Boston's system in no time. He's a smart player that can do what Horford did for Boston and even better.
Davis is just entering his prime but he's already a top 5 player. Can you imagine how high is Davis' ceiling? He's only 26 years old and not totally in his prime but he already had that reputation in the highest stage of the basketball world. What if he reach his highest potential? How good can he become? He's a future MVP for sure and he can take the Celtics to the Finals with ease if he joins Kyrie Irving there together with a great supporting cast and a brilliant coach Brad Stevens. Together, they can dominate the league for years and they can beat the power house Golden State Warriors. I know some of you won't believe in me but in my opinion, Boston's core plus Anthony Davis is enough to dethrone the dubs.
This is a real possibility. Let's wait and see what will happen this season. This season will be full of surprises and excitement.
