Luka Doncic looks very impressive in his NBA Preseason debut finishing the game with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks including three triples. The third overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft showed some glimpse of his dazzling moves off the dribble and he also showcased his unlimited range hitting some three pointers including a long one.
Doncic said that he was very excited to play because he hasn't been playing for a long time now and he's very glad to play in this game. He also said that he was a little bit nervous because it's his first game but everything went well for him. Doncic's first basket was from transition going coast to coast and laying up a well contested shot. He has a lot of moves and it's great to see him play 29 minutes to show what he can do on the big stage.
Dennis Smith Jr. played great with 16 points, 1 rebound and 6 assists. Dennis said that it will never be easy for Luka Doncic but he acknowledge Doncic's talents and he said that he will surely make an impact to the league.
DeAndre Jordan also made his debut with the Dallas Mavericks and he immediately showed his presence inside the paint and finish the game with 9 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks. Maxi Kleber had a great shooting night hitting a perfect 3 for 3 from the three point line. He made a total of 15 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists.
The Dallas Mavericks dominated the whole game against the Chinese players and grabbed their first win of the 2018 NBA Preseason.
Dallas' next game will be against the Philadelphia 76ers on October 5.
