What's up basketball fans! I am here today @dwin0603 to give you a short basketball discussion. I write basketball blogs here in scorum almost everyday. Everyday, I feature a game recap, some NBA topics that came up in my mind, and some news and rumors in my blog. Today, I decided to make an everyday NBA blog and I will try to make it an everyday habit. I will try my best to not miss a single day writing in this discussion and I will call it NBA Talk. I hope the name's not taken already.

One of my friend here, @thesportsguru inspired me to do this. I always listen in his everyday scorum sportscast and I love it. I came up with an Idea to make a personal everyday blog with a title on it and I hope that my followers and friends here would love this. Now let's get started.

Today I will discuss my thoughts about the Golden State Warriors' future and how will they deal with Draymond Green's contract in the future.

The Golden State Warriors is the best team in the NBA since they won the championship in 2015. The core they built is truly one of the most amazing things in basketball. They didn't build a super team by getting big names, they just developed the players they drafted into stars. And the system that Steve Kerr implements is one of the most beautiful things in basketball. The ball movement, the screens, the shots, the plays, all of that magic is what we are seeing in Golden State basketball. Kerr believes in what his players can do. He believes in their individual talent and put it all together to make a strong team.

In the last decade, teams are relying in one superstar who can isolate and score on his own, but in the NBA today, ball movement and the three point shot is the key to success. Golden State is arguably the best in doing that and other teams are following in the trend. Teams are starting to adopt in this environment and they are taking more threes in a game than the usual basketball we've watched in the past decades.

When Kevin Durant came to Golden State, the Warriors becomes a more unbeatable team in a 7-game series. Durant is a top 5 player in the league. Steph Curry, who is Golden State's franchise player is also a top 5 player in the NBA. Klay Thompson is a top 5 shooting guard and Draymond Green is one of the best power forward's in the league. This past summer, DeMarcus Cousins, a top 5 center in the NBA decided to join the Warriors in hopes to win an easy championship. This is a hell of a team and the organization would love to keep this core together but it's impossible. The Warriors is on the verge of winning their third straight championship and fourth in the last five years. That would be one of the greatest achievements by a franchise and that would leave a mark in the history of the NBA.

The Warriors will be dealing with a big problem in keeping this core together. Creating a super team is hard but keeping a super team together for plenty of years is harder. When your team is the best and it's on the top, all of the attentions are focused on them and the pressure may be more difficult to handle.

The future looks like the Warriors will not be able to keep this core together and they may end up retaining just 2 of them. Curry is sure to be the one to be retained and if Durant decided to stay in Golden State, the Warriors would surely keep him instead of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. If Durant decided to leave, the Warriors will choose Thompson over Green I think. Draymond Green is the least important star in Golden State and if Green makes the situation even harder by demanding a max deal, the Warriors will not hesitate to just let him walk away and find another team that would give what he demands.

Let's also consider Green's health. Green suffered a lot of injuries in his career. He already suffered an elbow injury, a shoulder injury and a knee injury. This season, he injured his right toe which makes him not available for more than 10 games. That Warriors would surely take that into account as the time goes by and Green hits free agency. Green is already 28 years old and we all know how physical he moves on the court. He loves to bang bodies and his hustle can hurt him more.

And lastly, the fact that Green will not be as good as he is in another team might be true. Maybe he just fit nicely with the Warriors because of how good Klay, Steph and KD are. And without them, he is just an average player who can play great defense.

That is all for today basketball fans! Drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk! :)
