What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will have a short recap of the match between the Houston Rockets VS Utah Jazz in Game 5 of their best of 7 playoff series. Let's start!

The Houston Rockets ended Utah Jazz's season finishing them off in Game 5, 100-93 on Wednesday night. The Rockets will now advance to the Semi-finals and will likely face the Golden State Warriors.

Game Recap

James Harden had another bad start for Houston missing 11 of his shots to begin which made the Jazz lead by 7 points late in the second period. But their lead was easily erased by the Rockets when Harden finally found his rhythm scoring 10 points for the Rockets creating a 14-3 run ending the first half with a 4 point advantage.

The Rockets continue their run and extend their lead immediately to double-digits making it 56-44 in only the first 2 minutes of the third. Just 2 threes by Harden and Tucker plus a Clint Capela dunk started that run. The Jazz answered by O'neil's three plus a 3-point play by Mitchell to cut the deficit to 68-63. Then, Houston again extends their lead to 75-69 ending the third period with Nene's buzzer beater.

Utah saved some energy for the final quarter as they started hot in the fourth building an 8-0 run to take the lead, 77-75. But after that run, Houston started to feel it again and answered back with their own run, to take the lead back, 80-77. Rubio ties the game at 80 then CP3 score 5 straight points to extend their lead once again.

In the dying seconds of the game, PJ Tucker was fouled and hit both free throws to lead, 96-93 then Harden blocked a Rudy Gobert shot the following possession with less than 40 seconds left in the game. Donovan Mitchell missed a three in the next possession and the Jazz was forced to foul Chris Paul. Paul's two free throws seal the game, 100-93.

My thoughts

Rudy Gobert was a non-factor in this game. He only scored 9 points with 10 rebounds and not so dominant in defense like he always does. Clint Capela, on the other hand, was solid for the Rockets scoring 16 points with 10 rebounds. Mitchell had another bad game. He shot awfully from the field and missed all of his three-point attempts. The Jazz is 9 out of 38 from beyond the arc. The defense was the key for the Rockets finishing with 12 steals and 12 blocks.

James Harden - 26 pts, 6 reb, 6 ast, 3 stl, 4 blk
