What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will have a short recap of the match between the San Antonio Spurs VS Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of their best of 7 playoff series. Let's start!

Nikola Jokic's 43 points are not enough for Denver to finish off San Antonio and move to the second round of the playoffs as the Spurs beat them, 120-103 on Thursday night.

Game Recap

In the first quarter, DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge put on a show leading San Antonio who made it's first 10 points of the game. Then, Aldridge hits a three to extend the lead to 15-8 with less than 8 minutes left in the first. It was San Antonio's hot shooting that gave them a huge advantage early in the game and their defense that prevent the Nuggets to score. Denver missed all of their three-point attempts in the first period as the Spurs lead 34-24 at the end of the quarter.

The Nuggets had a better second period than the Spurs and they cut the deficit and keep the game close. But in the third quarter, Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was unstoppable as he shot 8 for 9 and goes for 17 points to keep the Nuggets in the Game.

In the fourth and final quarter, the Spurs' solid shooting gave them the advantage and kept the lead until the final buzzer sounds. The Spurs made 4 threes in the fourth to finish off the Nuggets and force game 7. Despite the monster game from Jokic, the Spurs overcome that performance by a team effort. Rudy Gay and Marco Belinelli played well too to help DeRozan and Aldridge who were at their best to keep San Antonio's season alive. Aldridge finished off the night with 26 points while DeRozan added 25. Garry Harris and Jamal Murray had 16 points and 14 points respectively for Denver.

My thoughts

This series is the most unpredictable in the first round in my opinion. Both teams can win it and as the series goes, it just shows that both teams wanted this one badly and nobody can tell who will win the series. Denver last past the first round of the playoffs back in 2009 where the Los Angeles Lakers eliminated them in the Western Conference Finals.
