What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will have a short recap of the match between the Philadelphia 76ers VS Toronto Raptors in Game 2 of their best of 7 playoff series for the Semi-finals. Let's start!

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Toronto Raptors at their home court, 94-89 to secure an important road win and tied the series at 1-1 on Monday night.

Game recap

The Toronto Raptors had another rough start in Game 2 missing 6 of their first 8 shots in the first quarter and a total of 7 for 24 in the quarter also missing their first seven tries from the three-point line. Sixers led 26-17 to end the first led by Jimmy Butler who got 6. Toronto struggled unlike in game 1 where Kawhi Leonard and Pascal Siakam each scored 17 points to lead Toronto to 39 first quarter points.

In the second period, the Sixers stayed hot as Butler and James Ennis have 7 apiece leading Philly to a 51-38 half time advantage. The Raptors narrowed the gap to only 4 points in the third when they started a 13-4 run led by Kawhi's 11 points and Siakam's 7 points. And late in the quarter, the Raptors was able to cut the deficit to only 1 point. 61-60. Philly didn't want the Raptors to capture momentum and they ended the third with a 6 point lead after Joel Embiid sinks his free throws. It was a bad quarter for Philly missing all their three-point tries, 0 for 11.

Kyle Lowry was playing well and help Toronto came back slowly in the fourth period. But before that, they started missing their shots to start the fourth, 0 for 7. Toronto patiently cuts the deficit until in the last one and a half minute of the game, the lead was down to 2 with Lowry's three-pointer. Then, Siakam gets a layup and cut it to 1 point but Joel Embiid was clutch driving to the lane pump fakes a shot and then laying it up easy as they get the lead back up to three with 24 seconds left.

In the last seconds, Toronto had the chance but Lowry lost the ball and almost turn it over, then Danny Green missed his game-tying three. Tobias Harris grabbed the rebound and was fouled then he sealed the game with a pair of free throws.

My thoughts

This series is far from over. I knew it. Philly can get it done but the injury is hurting them. Mike Scott who was a valuable piece was out with an injury and Joel Embiid is not 100 percent. He just played 32 minutes in Game 2 and only scored 12 points. It will be a big challenge for the Sixers but they have a chance. Simmons did not show up in game 2 but Jimmy Butler took over. Let's see what will happen in game 3.

Stats

Jimmy Butler - 30 pts, 11 reb, 5 ast
Joel Embiid - 12 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast
James Ennis - 13 pts, 6 reb
Kawhi Leonard - 35 pts, 7 reb, 6 ast
Pascal Siakam - 21 pts, 7 reb, 3 ast
Kyle Lowry - 20 pts, 5 reb, 5 ast
