What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about Terry Rozier of the Boston Celtics and his plans for his future. Let's begin!
The Boston Celtics failed again to achieve their goal and reach the Finals despite having a complete and healthy roster. They lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in 5 games and it doesn't look good as their superstar guard is set to leave Boston and sign with another franchise in free agency. Another problem for them is, they might even lose their backup point guard Terry Rozier.
Rozier hasn't been happy in Boston for so long because he believes that he is an elite point guard in this league and he deserves to be a starter and play with a lot of minutes. He already proved that in last year's postseason as he and Tatum carried the Celtics in the Conference Finals and bring LeBron and his Cavs to a Game 7 in Boston that year. They just came up one game short in reaching the Finals without their superstars. Rozier has stepped up and lead the team to win games. He's also been clutch all postseason long but this year, he sat on the bench most of their games. He's been frustrated and he already showed the public how disappointed he is. Looks like we will not see him again in a Celtics uniform next season. So, I have here a list of the top teams that can best fit Scary Terry.
Phoenix Suns
After failing to get a top 3 pick in the draft, looks like the Suns will not get the sensational point guard Ja Morant in the draft as they fall to number 6 and due to that, they will still have their problem of having a legit point guard that can run the floor for them. So, one option for Rozier is to sign with the Phoenix Suns. I believe that the Suns will be interested in the Celtics guard and they can offer him the money he deserves. Rozier can fit right in with Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton and the Suns can now have a starting point guard that they are craving for so long.
Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic also have point guard problems right now, and that hurt them a lot in the playoffs. They already traded for the former number 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz but Fultz was still down with an injury and some personal issues. He also still couldn't fix his problems in his shooting form and the emotional effects on him during his Sixers days. So, this is the chance for the Magic to get their hands on a rising star point guard now that he decided to leave Boston. Rozier can be a great scoring point guard that can provide them some offensive powers now that Nikola Vucevic is set to leave the Magic.
Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets hasn't found success for a long time now and this year's free agency can make their position even worst because they might lose their lone superstar Kemba Walker who will be entering free agency. Walker might be thinking now to go to other teams because of what the franchise has shown to him. He dedicated his self to the franchise but the Hornets still tried to trade him. Where is the loyalty there, after Kemba sacrifices many years playing for the City. Now is the time for him to care about himself and go to places where he can help contenders and reach the bright lights while he is currently on his prime. And when Walker walks away, the Hornets should try to land Terry Rozier. It will be a huge challenge because Rozier might not want to follow the path that Kemba went through, but who knows? Let's see where will Scary Terry go next season.
