What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the Brooklyn Nets and the possibility of building a big three of Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, and Julius Randle.
The Brooklyn Nets surprised everyone last season making it to the playoffs with D'Angelo Russell leading the team. But, next season, it will be more different and the Nets would surely get better. That is because of the cap space they have this coming free agency. They have a lot of money to sign two max players and as the rumors said, Kyrie Irving is close in signing with the Nets. The Nets showed a lack of experience in the playoffs which result in an early first round exit. However, they showed the league that they are few pieces away from being a real threat in the Eastern Conference. Adding veteran superstars would surely level up their game and be one of the more scarier team to watch. Kevin Durant was their priority before the Achilles injury, but now, it seems like they are not ready to take the risk and sign Kevin Durant. So, they will have to think about a Plan B.
There is a chance, a great chance that the Brooklyn Nets build a big three of their own. The Nets can consider signing Julius Randle for a discounted contract. Randle would surely love to play for a contender and play alongside Kyrie Irving. Randle established himself as a major force in the paint. He's a stud and he is hungry to prove himself to the Lakers after they let him walk away. Pairing him with Jarrett Allen in the backcourt can give the Nets the Physicality they needed inside.
Next is Jimmy Butler. Jimmy and Kyrie love to play together. They like each other and according to rumors, Kyrie wanted to be teammates with Butler for a long time now. The combo of Kyrie Irving and Jimmy Butler would be deadly offensively. Both of them can score in many ways and Jimmy Butler's defense is also a great asset. Having those three players can immediately make the Nets a legit threat in the East. Let's see if the Nets can make this happen.
