It’s been a rough offseason for the Lakers until they finally land Anthony Davis. It was a total mess before AD came. But since then, great things happened for the Lakers. They are now trying to clean up the mess and form a competitive squad for the next season. From being a non-factor team for free agents to becoming one of the best destinations for free agents now. The duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis would surely convince the third star to join them and compete for a championship.
Now, the Lakers have $32 million in cap space after Rob Pelinka completes a deal to get rid of $9 million more from their cap space. Successful trades to the Washington Wizards and convincing Anthony Davis to waive his $4 million trade kicker clears the space needed and they can now sign a third max-player.
Another good thing for the Lakers is LeBron James gifting Anthony Davis his number 23 jersey. He sacrificed his infamous number 23 jersey so that Davis can wear it.
Looks like we’re going to see Miami LeBron again with the number 6 jersey and a headband. The Lakers are all set now to build a super team when Free Agency begins. The Lakers are now ready to come back to relevancy and I can’t wait for the new season to begin. Whoever the Lakers get in Free Agency, this Lakers team would surely be a contender in the Western Conference.
