What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the latest news and updates for the 2019 NBA Free Agency! Let's start!

Anthony Davis is set to start a fresh new career with the Los Angeles Lakers. A great start ahead of him is waiting as he and LeBron James looking to bring the Lakers back to championship contention. As people are being hyped with AD coming to the Lakers, they didn't look at the fact that AD is also set to become a free agent in 2020. He has one year left on his contract and he might be testing free agency next summer.

AD already expressed his desire to sign a long term deal with the Lakers but it's not guaranteed. He can always change his mind as other superstars did in the past few years. AD will surely have many suitors when he becomes a free agent but apparently, he doesn't want to talk about it right now.

Instead of making promises or hint about his future, he chose to remain silent about it. In a press conference, Davis said that this is not the right time to discuss the issue when he was asked about his free agency plans.

Davis is just being professional. He doesn't want to affect the Lakers organization about his free agency plans. It can become a distraction to players and the whole team. Just like in the February trade deadline where the Lakers are negotiating with the New Orleans Pelicans. It ruins the chemistry and the flow of the game of the young guys when they knew that they might be traded for Davis. So, what Davis did is right. Remaining quiet about those issues is the best he can do and just focus on the upcoming season.

That is all for today folks! I would love to hear your thoughts about this article, so drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk. 😁
