NBA Talk #230: Lakers Nation wants Carmelo Anthony

What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the latest news and updates for the 2019 offseason! Let's start!

The 2019-2020 season is nearing and 10-time all-star Carmelo Anthony is still a free agent. He was linked to teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks during this offseason, but nobody has shown him serious interest. Even Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are pushing the Nets to sign him but they haven't made any moves yet.

Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers were granted a $1.75 million disabled player exception which allows them to sign another free agent to replace Cousins.

And as expected, Carmelo Anthony's name comes up as the possible player to be signed by the Lakers for that spot. His value declined so much after the Houston Rockets cut him in their roster. And now, Lakers Nation, all the Lakers fans wanted to give Melo another chance. Lakers fans love the idea of bringing back Carmelo to the NBA.

Melo can still give the Lakers some scoring off the bench which is much needed. Maybe it's a good chance for them. They might pick up a valuable gem with low risk. Let's see if the Lakers sign Melo before the season starts.
