NBA Talk #240: Anthony Davis wants to be the Defensive Player of the Year

What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the latest news and updates for the 2019 offseason! Let's start!

Everybody is expecting much from the duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James. Nobody knows how good can the duo do in offense but for Anthony Davis, he is more focused on another thing, defense. He and LeBron contributing in offense are already given. They can score every time but when talking about defense, AD wants to be the best in the league this season.

He set a goal of winning the Defensive Player of the Year award this season which is a hard task especially when we think of players like Kawhi Leonard, Rudy Gobert, Paul George, Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo who were great defensive players. The competition would be tough but Davis wanted that standard. He wanted to be more challenge and he wanted that to make the most out of him.

AD in 2018 was second place behind Rudy Gobert for the Defensive Player of the Year, so winning the award is very realistic for him. We know that he’s always on that conversation and he always wanted that. He wanted to dominate the defensive end to help the team.

The Lakers are sure to be a defensive-minded team with a lot of defensive-minded guys. Just look at it, AD, Danny Green, Avery Bradley, KCP, JaVale McGee and Rajon Rondo. Let’s see if they will not disappoint this time.
