What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another interesting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about Carmelo Anthony. Let's start!

Basketball analysts thinks that Melo's days being an NBA player is now over after the Houston Rockets cut him after a rough start for the season. Melo stays with Houston's roster without getting any playing time until recently, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls although he will not play for Chicago and it's said that he will be immediately waived. The trade deadline is nearing and there's a lot of rumors around the league and there are news that Melo's possible destination is the Los Angeles Lakers.

There are no other teams that are rumored to acquire Anthony and maybe the Lakers is the only team willing to take a chance on him and it's all because of LeBron James I think. James and Anthony are close friends as well as Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets but if Paul couldn't revive Melo's career, how can James do that? Can LeBron make the most out of Melo? Well, I think Melo don't have to be a volume scorer or something like that, he just have to contribute on offense and play just 13-15 minutes and that would be great. He just have to be a second unit scorer and give them 10 to 15 points a night and that would be a lot of help. He's not a star anymore. He's past his prime and he should accept that.

According to Sam Amick of "The Athletic", Melo is expected to return in the NBA before the trade deadline and there is a strong sign that the Lakers will be the team he will play for. There's also a lot of hints that Melo will end up playing for L.A. Just a month ago, Melo stated that it would be great to have Melo and he believe that Melo still has it. But Anthony's condition and state of game will be a major factor whether the Lakers choose to sign him of not. Another problem is a roster spot. There's no available roster spot for the Lakers.

Now, all we have to do is wait and see if the Lakers will sign Melo and if that happens, I will be excited to see if LeBron James can resurrect Melo's lost career and make him a fan favorite athlete again. Nobody knows if that will happen but whatever happens, Melo's career will surely end up as one of the best. He will surely be a Hall of Famer and will remember as one of the best scorers in NBA history.

Here are some Carmelo Anthony highlights.

That is all for today folks! Would you love to see Melo play again?. I would love to hear your opinions here so drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk! :)
