What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today I will give you some updates on the Anthony Davis' trade talks. Let's begin!

It has been quiet in the NBA these past few days despite the nearing trade deadline as no other trades has been interesting after the Kristaps Porzingis trade to Dallas. Anthony Davis is still in the Pelicans roster and there are no other big moves from other teams. There's only 2 days left before the deadline and I'm sure that each franchises are very busy now getting ready for some negotiations and deals. Now, let's talk about what's happening to the AD saga.

There is a news earlier that the Lakers are willing to give anyone or even the whole roster outside LeBron to the Pelicans to get AD. They reportedly submitted a new set of offer to the Pelicans which is said to be too much just to get AD. We all know that AD is a top 5 player but trading almost a set of players who can be a decent starting 5 is too much to give up. But the Lakers looks desperate and willing to part ways with their young talents just to win now. Yes, that's exactly what the Lakers wants. They want to win now.

According to the latest news, AD gave the Pelicans a list of teams where he is willing to sign long term. Of course the Lakers are number one, then the Knicks, and now the Bucks and the Clippers are in the conversation too. Look at each situations of the said teams. The Knicks don't have anything to offer after they traded Kristaps Porzingis so they're definitely out of the conversation. The Bucks have some great asset in Kris Middleton but he will be a free agent so he might walk away and the Pelicans wouldn't love that. The Clippers also has the same situation with the Bucks, they have Tobias Harris but he will be a free agent too. So, basically, the Lakers are the only team who has a shot in acquiring AD before the NBA trade deadline. It only shows that AD's agent Rich Paul wanted AD to end up with the Lakers.

Remember that the Pelicans decline L.A.'s first offer and after that, the Lakers has a new set of trade offer that includes Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley plus 2 first round picks. They are also willing to absorb Solomon Hill's huge contract. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, this offer appears to be much closer to what the Pelicans wants to pursue in a deal. Reports said that the Pelicans just wanted 2 more first round picks plus 1 second round pick.

This is gonna be a huge blow for L.A.'s roster as they trade almost half of their roster. But still they can pick up some decent players in the buyout market like Carmelo Anthony. Another problem is the whole in the point guard position because both Rondo and Zo will be dealt. They can have a relief in the forward position if the Jabari Parker-KCP swap can be completed. All the risk they put through this trade may have something big in return so let's see if this deal will be completed.

That is all for today folks! It's getting more exciting for the Lakers Nation! I would be glad to hear your thoughts about this hot trade period so drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk! :)
