What's up basketball fans! It's a great day today and I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another interesting basketball discussion in today's episode of NBA Talk! Today, we will talk about New York's plan next summer and how can they shock the world with the moves they are about to push. Let's start!

The New York Knicks are currently one of the most terrible teams right now with a record of 9 wins and 29 losses standing at the 14th place in the Eastern Conference. Despite having a decent roster full of young stars in the making, the Knicks looks serious in tanking to acquire yet another top draft prospect to make their plans successful next summer.

I think they are planning to try and draft Zion Williamson or RJ Barrett which can be a nice piece to attract top free agents. Remember that next free agency is full of top superstars with the likes of Kevin Durant, DeMarcus Cousins, Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard, Kemba Walker, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson and more. They will try to lure one of those stars and that would be hard to decline. According to reports, Kevin Durant is New York's top priority in free agency. The Knicks will try to make an offer that Durant will not be able to resist. New York is one of the nicest city. It's one of the biggest markets and their roster is fine. It will be hard to resist for sure.

The most important thing Durant might want to consider joining the Knicks is to save his legacy. Durant have a very bad image in every basketball fans in the world. His 2 championships has no meaning and the respect he gained in his time in OKC has now disappeared. It is the perfect chance for him to revive his legacy and lead the New York Knicks back to relevance and lift them up back to the top of basketball world. If he goes to New York, he will have a higher chance in reaching the Finals because the East is Weaker than the West.

Look at this. The Knicks will have Kristaps Porzingis healthy again next season. They have young talents in Kevin Knox, Alonzo Trier, Mitchell Robinson and Mario Hezonja. I will not put Frank Ntilikina here because I think he's a bust. Kevin Knox has a lot of potential. He can be a nice backup for Durant. One more thing, Emmanuel Mudiay is finally starting to put himself in the right direction and we are now slowly witnessing how good he can be. He's finding some rhythm and he is becoming the player we expect him to be before he was drafted. the Knicks did a great job trading for him.

The problem here is the cap space. For the Knicks to be able to sign two top free agents, they have to clean their roster now and bring enough space for two superstars next summer. They can only afford one top free agent if they weren't able to trade some of the players in their roster. One good move that they can consider is to trade Tim Hardaway Jr. Tim's value is quite high because he is a great shooter who is averaging over 20 points a game this season. He can be traded quickly if the Knicks wanted it. Kemba Walker would be a perfect fit next to Durant and the big three of Durant, Walker and Porzingis would be a problem in the league. If this one happens, I think Durant can carry this team back to the top of the East and may have a chance to win another championship and this time, it will be a hard earn championship that all people will respect.

That is all for today folks! What can you say? Is this a nice plan? Let's see if the Knicks will pull this one out. Let me hear your comments and let's have some basketball talk! :)
