What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will have a short recap of the match between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 2 of their best of 7 series. Let's do this!

It was a wild and physical game again in Game 2 of the first round matchup of the Los Angeles Clippers VS the Golden State Warriors where the Warriors blew up a 31 point lead and outscored by the Clippers in the last 19 minutes of the game. Clippers win 135-131, on Monday night.

Game Recap

It was a tragic first quarter for the Warriors as they lost DeMarcus Cousins who suffered a quad injury after chasing and diving for a loose ball. He's done for the night after that sequence. But despite losing their all-star center, the Warriors showed that they can still dominate and build a 23 point lead at the end of the first half.

With less than 8 minutes in the third period, the Warriors led by as much as 31 points. Then, the Clippers started their unbelievable run. They slowly run and gun to cut the deficit until it reached single digits in the fourth quarter. Lou Williams started the third with only 10 points and then he took flight in the third and fourth to lead the Clippers cutting the big deficit. At the 6 minute mark, the lead was down to only 6 points with Harrell's tough layup. And when the lead was down to 2, Durant drives to the basket passing on Harell for a jam plus an and-one.

At the 1:10 mark of the final quarter, Golden State leading by 2, Sweet Lou hits a sweet mid-range jumper to tie the game. And on the other side, Curry answered with a dagger three with 56 seconds left in the game. The Clippers did not force a three to tie the game instead, Lou Williams drives again to the basket for another jumper, this time closer to the rim to cut the deficit to 1. Golden State could not answer on the other hand so the Clippers took advantage. The next possession was the biggest as Landry Shamet hits a cold-blooded three to take the lead with 16 seconds left in the clock. Curry had the chance to win the game but his three-pointer did not go in. Montrezl Harrell seal the game with his 2 free throws. Clippers win 135-131.

My Thoughts

Pat Beverley and Montrezl Harrell are the two key players especially at the defensive end of the floor that helps the Clippers come back from a 31 point deficit. It was their hustle and energy that keeps the team fighting. Lou Williams led the team offensively dropping 36 big points and key buckets to keep the deficit close.

Beverley was all over Durant's head in their first meeting in the playoffs as he forces Durant to be thrown out with 2 technical fouls. Durant should be careful because getting 7 techs would cost him 1 game suspension and the team wouldn't want that. So, in response, Durant just let Beverley do his things, and continue playing it on.

How's Boogie?

Cousins will undergo MRI and there is no certain period on how long will he be sidelined. It was a very frustrating night for Cousins because he works so hard to get back from that Achilles injury, and now, he's injured again? It' been a very tough sequence in his career. He's only played his first playoff game after 9 seasons of his career. It's hard physically and mentally so let's just hope Cousins can get through this and came back strong again.
