What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will have a short recap of the match between the Philadelphia 76ers VS the Brooklyn Nets in Game 3 of their best of 7 playoff series. Let's do this!

No Embiid? No problem for the Philadelphia 76ers as they defeated the Brooklyn Nets on the road, 131-115 led by Ben Simmons playoff career-high 31 points and Tobias Harris' 29 points on Thursday night. Philly is now up 2-1 in the series.

Game Recap

Without their best player Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons stepped up offensively slashing aggressively to the basket while Tobias Harris and JJ Redick's hot shooting helps Simmons seal the win in Game 3. Simmons was so aggresive in attacking the basket and doing what he does best. He also dishes some dimes to his teammates and finished with 9 assists. Remember after Game 2, Jared Dudley of the Brooklyn Nets stated that Simmons is a good player in transition but in half court, he's just an average guy. Simmons proved in Game 3 that he's not just an average guy like Dudley said by putting up 31 big points, 9 dimes, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocked shots.

Tobias Harris also had his playoff career high in points and also got his playoff career high in rebounds with 29 points and 16 rebounds. He played a terrific game shooting a perfect 6 for 6 from beyond the arc. JJ Redick also did well adding 26 points shooting 5 for 9 from deep. In the absence of Joel Embiid, Greg Monroe had the chance to play in Joel's spot being the starting center for the Sixers and he contributed 9 points and 13 boards while backup center Boban Marjanovic had 14 points and 8 rebounds.

It was a close fight in the first half of action as Caris LeVert had a short outburst for the Brooklyn Nets to keep the game close in the second period. Ben Simmons highlights an exclamation point putback slam to end the first half. In the second half, D'Angelo Russell found his rhythm and started to shoot well with that ice in his veins scoring 26 total points in the Game. But, Redick's pair of triples plus Tobias Harris' three-point play extended the lead up to 14 points. From there, the Nets struggled to cut the deficit. They had a little run in the fourth and managed to cut it to 6 points with Russell's three but the Sixers pull away again and the game was out of reach for the Nets.
