Getting a deal done in the NBA is very difficult especially with guys that are very valuable. For a team to land a top tier star, they have to offer a lot of money to seal the deal. Most players value money a lot for their future after basketball. But sometimes players tend to agree with a deal that is not about money. They sacrifice a lot of money just to join a championship bound association.

There are also situations where a player had a good year and proves that he is a very valuable piece and deserves a lot of money so they eventually get a huge contract but after some time they were never able to live up to the expectations. Some times some players just had a good year and they cannot do it consistently every year.

During this off-season, we saw some good signings and well-deserved contracts. We also saw some contracts that are now suited to the value of the players. Today I am going to discuss some contracts that are very low for players that have high value and even some superstar.

NERLENS NOEL

I still have high hopes for the 24 years old defensive big man Nerlens Noel. The Oklahoma City just signed Noel to a $3.7 million contract for 2 years. The Thunder took a low risk in signing Noel hoping that he can show truly what he can do. Actually this is not even a risk for the Thunder as they got a young player who has high ceiling and potential for a low amount of money. If Noel was able to bring his game to another level next season, the Thunder will be very lucky. Noel can bring a lot of positive things in the defensive end of the floor alongside Steven Adams or off the bench.

Noel did not start his career the way he wants it because of injuries poor work ethics. With his talents, he can be one of the league's best rim protector and defensive anchor. But even if he did not develop, the Oklahoma City Thunder will not lose much money so I consider this a great signing for the Thunder.

Brook lopez

The Milwaukee Bucks are in search of a good center since free agency and they've already found one. They signed Brook Lopez to a 1-year $3.3 million deal. The Bucks are not contented of the centers they have. Although John Henson is a good defender, he doesn't do much damage in offense. With his size, he is a good rim protector and he can defend perimeter guys. Thon Maker is a star in the making but he hasn't developed yet. Maybe two or three years from now until he breaks out.

For now, the Bucks can add an offensive big man who is a proven scorer in the paint and known for his sweet shooting touch outside the paint. He's not good defensively but the team can manage the defensive problems and they can rely on Giannis Antetokounmpo. Lopez is still one of the best centers in the league and Milwaukee did a great job acquiring him for only $3.3 million.

DEMARCUS COUSINS

By just looking at this photo you know what I mean. Boogie Cousins is now part of the defending champs Golden State Warriors. The already strong squad of the Warriors added another superstar to their starting lineup that makes all their starters all-star players. By just looking at the photo, we are losing hope of how can this team be defeated especially in the playoffs.

The Golden State Warriors signing DeMarcus Cousins is the biggest bargain of this year's free agency. Cousins agree to a 1-year $5.3 million deal. This was a soft move by Cousins as he give up mush money to join the Warriors and get a trip to the NBA Finals. Cousins is the best center in the league today and despite playing only a handful of games last season after the injury, the Warriors will not lose a lot of money if Cousins wasn't able to come back to his own self and be the dominant player he is.
