The long wait is over now basketball fans as LeBron James played his first game wearing purple and gold as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers! It's kind of weird or different seeing LeBron on a Lakers jersey because he's like a rival to an all-time Lakers great Kobe Bryant. But now the new era of the Los Angeles Lakers starts today and we will see how far can The King carry the Lakers.

Not a good start for the Los Angeles Lakers as they suffered their first preseason lost to the Denver Nuggets by a blow out, 124-107 on Sunday night. LeBron played only 15 minutes and finished the game with 9 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists and had a perfect 2 for 2 from the three-point territory.

Lakers young stars played great tonight. Brandon Ingram had a great game playing 26 minutes finishing with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 block. Kyle Kuzma scored 15 points with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block despite a poor shooting night of 30 percent from the field. The veterans also had a nice game. Rajon Rondo do what he does best leading the Lakers in assists and finishing the game with 2 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists while Lance Stephenson posted 12 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists. Former Shaq'tin a fool MVP JaVale McGee had a terrific night shooting an efficient 80 percent from the field recording 17 points, 7 rebounds and 1 blocked shot. What do you expect with a big man like him playing alongside 2 of the best play makers in the league. Rajon Rondo did a great job finding him and we can expect more of that when the regular season begins.

Denver dominates the whole game led by Jamal Murray, Trey Lyles and Juan Hernangomez. Murray finished with 18 points shooting 8 for 12 from the field including 2 for 3 from long range while Trey Lyles added 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. Hernangomez played 23 minutes and scored 19 points with five three-pointers.

Lakers and Nuggets will have their second duel on Tuesday night, October 2.
