The BIG3 league was created by entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz and rapper/actor Ice Cube. The league is composed of mostly retired NBA players. It was a 3-on-3 basketball league that is played only in half court and with teams that has 6 to 8 members on their rosters. There were many big names playing in the BIG3 league like "The Answer" Allen Iverson and former all-star Baron Davis. This year's season, new stars joined the league like Metta World-Peace and Amare Stoudemire. After this season, we will see if many former NBA players will join the BIG3 next season and we will also see if there will be any big names that will join the league.
Many NBA fans are dying to see their favorite retired player to play in the BIG3. And there are rumors that Kobe Bryant will be playing in the league next season. We do not know yet if this was true but man, I'm very excited about this. I hope he plays and I also hope other superstars will join him. Now I'll give you my BIG3 super team that you will also want to see play again in the basketball court.
First on my list is "The Truth" Paul Pierce. Paul Pierce just retired in 2017 and I'm sure he's still in good shape. I believe he still has it and he can dominate the BIG3 league. He finished his career with no major injury so I think he can still play. I even think that he can still play in the NBA. But with his age, the BIG3 is very suited for him.
Pierce is a very good shooter from mid-range and from the three-point territory. He's one of the best clutch players in the history of the game carrying the Boston Celtics many times with his game winning shots. Pierce is an NBA Champion, 10-time all-star and one of the best power forwards to play the game.
Next on my list is Tim Duncan. Arguably the best power forward in the history of the NBA. One of the nicest guys in the league and one of the best of course. The "Big Fundamental" retired in 2016 with the San Antonio Spurs. He spent his 19-year career with the Spurs. He won five championships with the Spurs in his entire career and he could 1 more title in the BIG3 league.
Duncan is 42 years old but I think he can still school anyone in the post. He can dominate the paint in the BIG3 league and can carry a team to a championship. His moves lacks creativity or style that looks boring but those simple and basic shots made his career very successful. I hope he joins the BIG3.
Next up is Kevin Garnett. Another one of the best power forwards in NBA history. Garnett is known for his unbelievable intensity and energy that he brings to the game night in and night out. He loves to hype up the crowd and get them involve in the game.
He can still be a major force in the BIG3 and dominate the painted area. Garnett will bring more competitiveness and trashtalking to the league. If Garnett joins the BIG3, it will be more fun to watch.
Last but not the least is "The Black Mamba" Kobe Bryant. To see him play again in the basketball court is a dream come true for many Kobe fans around the world and Kobe joining the BIG3 can make those dreams come true for the fans.
Kobe will easily dominate the BIG3 league and lead the league in scoring with his Mamba Mentality and killer Instinct. He can punish his opponents with his unmatched skill set and offensive powers. If Kobe joins the league, it will completely change and it will be more popular. It will be a major change in the league if they acquire Kobe in the upcoming 2019 season.
Ice Cube is looking to recruit more former NBA stars in the league to make it more popular and entertaining. If they acquire any of the NBA superstars I mentioned above, the league will gain more popularity and it will be more fun to watch.
