The Atlanta Hawks get their first win of the Season as they beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 133-111 on Sunday night. Cleveland falls to 0-3 this season.

Game Recap

It's all Kevin Love in the first quarter as he gets all the touches he needed to be the man in Cleveland after LeBron left the team. Love was terrific in the paint and drilling outside shots early in the game. But the Hawks keeps fighting and getting their threes falling. Jordan Clarkson also lighting it up for the Cavs as he hits his outside shots early in the first half but Trae Young answers with his own three-pointers.

Trae Young was special in this game. Seems like the Hawks did the right decision in trading for him. Young puts on a show against the Cavs showing his unlimited range and his dazzling cross over moves and beats opponents off the dribble with his quickness. He also shows a bit of fancy passing.

It was a close game until Young gets his shots going as the Cavs can't answer and the Hawks took a larger lead at the start of the final quarter. Atlanta continues to drain their three-pointers and the Cavs couldn't hold on and the Hawks took the win.

Trae Young finished the game with 35 points, 2 rebounds, 11 assists and 1 steal shooting 56.5 percent from the field including 6 three-pointers made. Kent Bazemore had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block while Taurean Prince had another nice outing with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 block. Bazemore made 4 threes.

Meanwhile, Alex Len added a double-double of 16 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocked shots. Len shot 58.3 percent from the field. Omari Spellman finished the game with 17 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist.

For Cleveland, Jordan Clarkson led the Cavs in scoring with his 19 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists shooting 58.3 percent from the field. Clarkson had 3 triples in the game. Kevin Love played well in the first half but has been quiet in the second half. He finished the game with 16 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Rodney Hood who kept the Cavs close in the fourth contributed 13 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.

Rookie Collin Sexton had a bad night as he only scored 4 points with 2 rebounds and 2 assists in 27 minutes of game play. Sexton shot 2 for 11 from the field. Cedi Osman added 12 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block while George Hill had 16 points, 3 assists and 1 steal.

Hawks will host the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night while the Cavs will take on the Brooklyn Nets at home on Wednesday night also.
