The next season is now coming near and everybody is excited to watch a very different season. Everybody is hyped about the major changes in the league. But the off season is not yet over. There are still valuable players left in free agency and we don’t know yet where will they end up signing.

One of them is a 3-time sixth man of the year and arguably one of the best sixth man to ever play the game. This player is none other than Jamal Crawford. After one season with the Minnesota Timber wolves last year, Crawford is now a free agent after declining the contract extension Minnesota offered. Crawford averaged 10.3 points per game, 1.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists with the Wolves.

Crawford is not getting any younger now and his age may affect his free agent value. But still, his reputation in the league and his skill set is enough to attract contending teams and sign him to be their second unit leader.

According to Marc Spears of ESPN, there are several teams who have offered a contract to Jamal Crawford and these teams are the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers. Crawford have a very nice set of options because all these teams are contenders.

Breaking down each Team that will fit Crawford

Golden State Warriors. The dubs is a great place for Jamal Crawford because he can play the role Nick Young played last season. Now that Nick Young is gone, Crawford can replace him and be a better option than last year. He and Andre Iguodala can lead the bench in scoring and Crawford can play the point and run plays.

Boston Celtics. The Boston Celtics is trying to strengthen their second unit and Jamal Crawford is the best option they can get in the 2 guard position. Crawford might not be the quick guy with nasty cross overs that he was back in his prime but he can still provide some scoring and can also fit with Coach Brad Stevens system.

Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers is a young team last season but after an outstanding off-season done by Magic Johnson, the Lakers became an immediate contender after bringing LeBron James and some veterans to L.A. Veterans like Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley can help the development of the Lakers’ young stars like Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram. Adding Jamal Crawford to the mix can bolster their second unit at the guard position. Crawford can also share his experiences to the young guards of Los Angeles and help them develop too.
