Houston Rockets beat Atlanta Hawks 121-105 in the NBA regular season game at the Phillips Arena, Atlanta.
Houston, who lost to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, was third in the Western Conference with 45 wins and 26 losses.
The Houston Rockets were again on the winning streak. 'Ace' James Harden was a big success.
James Harden scored 31 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists.
Clint Capella had 26 points and 11 rebounds and Chris Paul scored 13 points and 11 assists.
In Atlanta, John Collins (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Trae Young (21 points and 12 assists) were good scorers.
James Harden again wrote a new history. Harden became the first player in the history of NBA history to score more than 30 points in a season against former clubs.
Prior to the game, Harden had scored more than 30 points in 28 teams including Atlanta this season. Harden scored 12 free throws on the day and easily defeated the Atlanta defense, eventually scoring 31 points and scoring 30 points in a single season.
It's the first thing in NBA history. Harden is already a MVP candidate with a huge score this season. It was the second time in the history of this division that it beat the top players with 30 points or more in 32 consecutive games.
Of the 71 games he has played so far, he has scored more than 30 points in 54 games. More than 40 runs scored 17 times and over 50 runs scored six times. On Jan. 24, he scored 61 points in his most recent debut in New York, setting the record for the away runners-up at Madison Square Garden. (Together with Kobe Bryant) This year's Harden's score is clearly unmatched.
Harden's pace has not really gone down, although he has recently suffered injuries to his forearm and neck. He has a slight ups and downs, but he is constantly producing a certain level of scoring. Harden currently has an average of 35.8 points in the season and is in the top spot in the scorer race. The only players to score an average of 35 points per season in NBA history are Wilt Chamberlain, Rick Barry, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Harden is challenging this record in 13 years following Kobe Bryant (35.4 points) in the 2005-2006 season.
