Man NBA had seen many spectacular seasons from great players. In every year, the league awards the MVP to that one person who had the most impressive numbers. This isn't always the case though because NBA more than anything value winning. It's not a guarantee that you win the hardware just because you're the scoring champ. It normally goes from the best player of the top seed. So let's take a look at the five seasons that absolutely deserve recognition. If you don't agree with my list, I am excited to see your own five.

1 WILT CHAMBERLAIN

In 1961-62 season, Wilt accomplished what in most eyes the greatest season by any player. Chamberlain averaged 50 ppg and grabbed 26 rpg. Eventhough there were only 9 teams at that time and the league was just developing, those stats are ridiculously amazing! The award went to the man from the number one seed though, Bill Russell who had a 19-24 season. Talk about how they used to value winning yet NBA gave the award to Russell Westbrook over James Harden whose Rockets were seeded higher.

2. OSCAR ROBERTSON

In that same year Wilt posted 50 a game, another man was creating another record. He is the man who was the first to average tripledouble an entire season. Big O averaged 30.8 ppg, 11.4 apg and 12.5 rpg. This is a pointguard grabbing almost 13 rebounds a game when 7 footer Pau Gasol's best rebounding season was 11.8. How about Draymond Green? His best was 9.5 rpg. Sadly the award went to Bill Russell because again, Celtics was top seed.

3. MICHAEL JORDAN

In that season where MJ had a string of 10 consecutive tripledoubles in 11 games, he was simply a monster. Mike handled pointguard chores yet he managed to end the season with 32 ppg, 8 apg, 8 rpg and 3 spg on 53% shooting. He easily could have averaged tripledouble had he done point for the entire season. Despite his efforts, the award went to Magic Johnson whose Lakers were number one in the West. Magic himself was 22.5 ppg, 12.8 apg and 7.9 rpg.

4. KAREEM ABDUL JABBAR

In 1972-73 season went on to rack up 30.1 ppg, 16.1 rpg and 5 apg. This should be lock for the MVP award right? No way he should loose to someone with 20.5 ppg, 16.2 rpg and 4.1 apg season right? Kareem is far superior in scoring average and assist dept but sadly, Jabbar didn't win it. The award went to Dave Cowens whose Celtics were number one in the East.

5. MICHAEL JORDAN

In only MJ's third season, he averaged 37.1 ppg, 4.6 apg, 5.2 rpg and almost 3 steals per game! Not many third year player would have such ridiculous numbers, in fact, only Wilt Chamberlain tops that scoring average. Other third year players like say Lebron James would only be seeing playoff action for the first time. So who beat Michael? Yup Magic Johnson again. Magic man in that season averaged 21.8 ppg, 12.2 apg and 7.7 rpg. If defense had any weight over team success, it would have been Mike via landslide.
