July 27, 2018 - New York born & Baltimore raised, Carmelo Anthony is now a member of the Atlanta Hawks, acquired in a three-team trade with OKC, ATL, and Philly. He made it known that he was ready to part ways with Oklahoma City before free agency season even began. He went from OKC to ATL, and the Hawks are likely to buyout his contract which will put him back on the market.

The once All-NBA Forward spoke with ESPN's Jemele Hill just two days ago to discuss exactly where he stands in his basketball career. He told her that he discussed with his family and does not want to take any buyouts, no waivers, and just accept the next chapter in his life.

The world sees a future and expects Anthony to sign with the Rockets. In his interview with Jemele Hill, he avoided giving an up-front answer on if he was interested in the possible trade by saying "I'll let the people do what they do. I just sit back and when the time comes, and the call gets made, we'll make that move."

Later during the interview, when his former team [Oklahoma City Thunder] is the topic, he says that "At the end of the day, it wasn't a good fit."

This leads me to the question, what team is a "good fit for Carmelo Anthony?

We saw a similar situation last year when he joined the Russell Westbrook and Paul George down in Oklahoma City. Alot of us thought this would be a dominate trio of the NBA with three strong ball-handlers and key shooters on the same team. I think what we see different in the case is the communication and team chemistry. We see Anthony and Harden talking outside of basketball, we see the three playing pickup ball on social media. This time may be different. This is probably the best fit for Anthony since his NBA career started based on the current roster, coaches (Including D-Antoni despite history), and payroll.
