The Lakers are in great need of a center right now as only Javale McGee is the only remaining true center or big man in their lineup, as Boogie Cousins potentially will be sideline for most of the season if not all. Although there were rumors circling around that they could bring in Dwight Howard or a Kenneth Farried as replacement for Boogie.
But here's the latest trend as of right now, if you heard the news of Kuzma playing some minutes at the center position in team USA and as we knew Coach Gregg Popovich is one of the smartest and arguably the greatest coach of all time along with Phil Jackson who can see the potential of players hiding inside them.
Kyle Kuzma is very comfortable playing the number 3 or 4 spots on the Lakers since his rookie year but the Lakers is in need of a player that could fill the void at the five since McGee can't play all 48 minutes of them.
Anthony Davis also stated and insisted before signing with the Lakers that he wanted to play in his comfort zone and that is playing the power forward position, he even wanted to be registered as 6 foot 10 and not his true height of 6 foot 11, how the heck is that?
Now Kuzma is a willing guy maybe the most willing player to accept any role in LA that he is the only remnants of the Lakers young core. Kuz at the center position will make the Lakers a small ball kind of play and could kill the opposing team in the offensive end of the floor. If he improves just a little bit of his three point shooting then the floor is much wider and easier to penetrate by Lebron and Anthony Davis.
But Kuzma at five still depends on their coach Frank Vogel and whether or not is the case the Lakers last resort would be that idea if they can't take the risk of signing Howard and only losing him due to injuries concerns.
