Mavs fans what's going on here is another article of NBA EXPRESS and today we are breaking down the best case scenarios for our Dallas Mavericks in 2019-20. I think the most likely scenario for the Mavs next year let's start off with some good news for everybody the best case scenario for the Dallas Mavericks in 2019-20 so this all starts with the playoffs this obviously means they get into the Western Conference playoff picture but at the best-case-scenario at the top of their game the absolute ceiling this is a five to six seed in the best case now that means they obviously have to beat up teams like the Warriors, the San Antonio Spurs the Portland Trailblazers.

They're gonna have to leapfrog them maybe even the team like the Sacramento Kings if they're fighting for a spot or the New Orleans pelicans whoever it may be it's a lot of good teams got a beat out but let's remember this is me being the most optimistic glass-half-full kind of maps and now this also has to do alot with three separate players that I want to focus more in on here Porzingis, Luca and Delon Wright.

ITS PORZINGOD's RETURN

Let's start with Kristaps Porzingis obviously coming to Dallas will see him in action for the first time next year in this best case scenario Kristaps porzingis comes back more than healthy and he plays seventy five plus games of an 82 game season so it's a lot to ask for a guy coming off an ACL tear and the most games he's ever played was 72 in his rookie year but in this case he's gonna have to do it it also means he takes another step forward from his rookie season it's not just all-star Kristaps Porzingis anymore it's superstar PorzingGOD now another thing that's important remember what I think it's been in the gym he's been that hitting the gym and bulking up a lot and eventually if this is the best-case scenario it means he bolts up enough to bang with the big guys down low.

LUKA is SENSATIONAL

Another guy who I think we all know what we're gonna get out of him he is the Rookie of the Year Luca Doncic he is obviously got to work on that see but in this case the efficiency goes up that athleticism the endurance allows him to play all 82 games and most importantly he makes his very first all-star team as an NBA player now last season was absolutely incredible 21.2 points per game 7.8 rebounds 6 assists numbers that we haven't seen since Oscar Robertson in his rookie year so the main thing that I think would be important in this best-case scenario for Doncic is that he doesn't hit that sophomore slump that so many guys are prone to I don't believe he will but maybe it's at least something that we have to consider with a rookie like Luka.

Delon Wright a potential MIP this season?

Our next guy is gonna be important to this team success and really if this team wants to get to that five to six seed like I'm talking about here the long rides got to step up in a big way and obviously the Dallas Mavericks believe at some level that he can because we just learned from Tim McMahon that he has three new bonuses in his contract each of them for $350,000 the first one is if he makes an all-star team I don't think that's realistic at all I don't even want to include that in the best case scenario.

So we're gonna talk about two of the three incentives if he hits two of this three that's the best-case scenario for the Dallas Mavericks Most Improved Player Award and the all defensive team next season so last year he averaged 8.7 points per game 3 assists 3 rebounds only in 22 minutes though and now as a starter Delon Wright is gonna get the chance to be a most improved player candidate I'm excited to see what he does next year for the Dallas Mavericks starting in that backcourt alongside Luka.
