What's goin on Scorum! here I am with another article of NBA EXPRESS now imagine the two best basketball players in the world and its not even an argument, Imagine they are swapping each jerseys, I mean literally even switch places where they live right? I am talking about Lebron and Kobe the two who almost challenge his Airness in the GOAT conversation but they aint winning the challenge tho. Anyway lets get deeper in this article and lets talk about this super ultra mega trade deal that will not happen in our lifetime.
I'll be it after hitting some speed bumps first in 2007 Kobe was fed up in the three years since the finals defeat Lakers had only gotten as far as the first round in the playoffs team was not very good even with Kobe seemingly scoring 30 every night obviously this wasn't going to cut it for mama for the third time Bryant asked out of la-la land but what would a team have to give up in order to get a player of Kobe's caliber for the Cleveland Cavaliers only one man the Lakers called the Cavs and offered an untouchable player swap Kobe for LeBron and let the polarizing laughter from both franchises begin.
While this trade would have probably been the biggest in NBA history it never materialized Cavaliers realized what they had in James however they did push the envelope by literally offering anyone on the roster but James for the Lakers star still the Lakers were not ready to pull the trigger on trading Kobe unless they got a star of their own in the end it became the almost mega trade that worked out for both teams Kobe and the Lakers won two more championships LeBron put Cleveland back on the map and further down the line wanted to see its first championship everyone went home happy.
Just imagining one of these trades going through is difficult to consider for Lakers fans witnessing Bryant playing the same colors Jordan more or drainie jumpers at the palace would put a knife through their hearts at this point in time Brian is probably grateful the Lakers were so insistent and hard-headed on keeping him it's probably safe to assume that Lakers nation is to thank you guys for reading.
