What is going on sportstalkers here we are again with another basketball talk here on NBA EXPRESS and today we are going to discuss if the Harden and Westbrook duo will work out. As for this case we will ofcourse base from what transpired from these preseason games and will them as the evidence to prove my case.
James Harden actually has a case to be awarded as the MVP last season because he made historic numbers that no one else had done in the recent memory but his style of basketball doesn’t seem to convert into championships either it was pure badluck of living in the same generation with Miami Big 3, then the San Antonio Spurs, the last five years of Golden State Warriors Dynasty and now with every dynamic duos.
The likes of Lebron and Anthony Davis at Lakers and Kawhi and Paul George at Clippers I mean anywhere you look there is a great resistance but in hope to compete again the Rockets decided to ship Chris Paul to acquire another ball dominant guard in Russell Westbrook. We can’t deny the talent of Harden and Westbrook but the problem seems to arise as early as these preseason games.
Jalen Rose is concerned with what he is seeing with the Houston Rockets so far this preseason and adds that James Harden and Russell Westbrook do not look like a good partnership.
In a recent segment of Jalen and Jacoby, Jalen talked about James Harden is playing like Russell Westbrook isn’t on the court. Harden is averaging 31.2 points 6.5 boards and 9 assists in six games which is pretty impressive stat line but I expected it to be decline a little bit more than this because he is coexisting with Russ but it turns out to be a disaster in this preseason games. Also Russell Westbrook is not himself yet averaging only 16.3 points 3.3 rebounds and 4.5 dimes in 4 games averaging 25.0 minutes per game.
But fear not we can’t still Judge them in just games that doesn’t count they can still fix this, Harden should play off ball more than handling the ball because he is a better three point shooter than Russ. Russ should be the one handling the ball and Harden needs to learn floor spacing like Steph Curry or better be learn how to move off the ball with DWade, I mean this are just my honest opinion for the duo to work out.
