Pascal Siakam is improving so much that he could win another Most Improved Player award?
What is going here today on sports particularly the NBA, we will discuss an interesting and rare topic for today. Have you ever heard or read or witnessed a player in the NBA who won the most improved player twice? Let’s face the reality although it is hard to accomplish an MVP award but the thing is that it seems like that MIP or most improved player is harder to accomplish multiple times (check the key word there “multiple” ).
Stephen Curry won the MVP award twice not too long ago so its not rare to see players who can get a hand on that accolade. And it seems Giannis is in the phase of winning his 2nd consecutive this year, what I mean is it is doable to be the most valuable player twice. Before the almost new faces of MVP awardees just earlier in this decade Lebron won it twice as well.
Pascal Siakam last season was awarded as the Most Improved Player of the season (2018-19) where he averaged 16.9 points 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists prior to that season he was averaging 7.3 points 4.5 boards and 2.0 assists. So it is quite obvious and visible how much large the improvements are in all of those statistical categories.
But this season Siakam is now on the trend to win it again and no player in the history of the NBA had done that kind of feat. In 11 games this season he is averaging 27.2 points more than 10 last season with 9.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists not only that he getting better and efficient at both the three point and free throw line the more he attempts he make. If Siakam can win this thing twice then we might be witnessing the most unbreakable feat or record in the history of the NBA.
