The NBA Gods has not been good to Carmelo Anthony in his last couple of seasons since leaving the New York Knicks, still Melo hasn't found a team yet to bring his services as reliable scorer. After the USA team denied his request to make the roster that will compete in this year's FIBA world cup. In my own opinion that's a bit harsh on the part of the USA as Melo is probably the most decorated basketball olympians in the recent memories.

Just weeks ago Anthony had a one on one interview with First Take's host Stephen A. Smith and the conversation seems to be Melo is becoming transparent and wanted to embrace the role on playing off the bench. In which he also insisted that with his talent that it's impossible for him to even made a 13th team roster which I think we could agree upon.

His personal trainer even stated on a social media account that Melo is easily better than 60% in the league correct me if I'm wrong. But even after all that it seems Melo's last glimpse of hopes are slowly fading away as the season draws near.

But the recent news that Carmelo has been doing some workouts in Los Angeles ohh but don't get your hopes up it is not in the purple and gold jersey which Lebron is currently playing it's with Brooklyn Nets players fellas. Maybe it is good for him going back to New York?

Via Ian Begley and Anthony Puccio:

Ten-time All-Star and free agent forward Carmelo Anthony has been participating in informal team workouts and scrimmages with Brooklyn Nets players in Los Angeles recently, per SNY sources.

Personally I like the Idea of Melo as a reliever while Kevin Durant is nurturing his Achilles Injury which I hope and pray he comes back at full health or even just 80% of real self anyway that's for another topic. Carmelo once regarded as one of the best scorers during his prime and could even compete toe to toe with the likes of Kobe Bryant and Lebron James is now in the point of his career that it is hard to get an NBA contract.

Largely due to the fact on how NBA games is played today, although he can still produce pretty good numbers at the bench which could be the best case scenario is to be the Brooklyn's sixth man and maybe won the award, that would be the best last season of his career if that would've happen.

That is all fellas let's meet again in another edition of NBA EXPRESS
