Today's match up between the Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks provided to be a close ball game with both teams battling out to improve their rankings in the Eastern Conference. The Detroit Pistons were able to pull off their third win in a row with the help of Blake Griffin to stood out from the rest and scored at will helping the Pistons get over the edge and get the 115-108 victory. The New York Knicks came out of the ball game with good movement and passing and were able to remain competitive in the first quarter. Detroit managed to develop a lead in the second quarter with the help of Reggie Jackson and Blake Griffin but was reduced with a half time buzzer beater for Tim Hardaway Jnr. who hit a mid range fade away to beat the shot clock with scores at 51-43. The New York Knicks failed to gain any momentum in the second half with Blake Griffin and the Detroit squad getting a cruisy victory improving their regular season record to 11 wins and 7 losses.

Blake Griffin had the biggest game out of all the competitors dropping 30 points (12-16 FG), 4 rebounds and 5 assists showing a very efficient game on the offensive side of things and provided a big boost on scoring to help get the Pistons the victory. Reggie Jackson was also crucial in today's match up as the point-guard scored 21 points (6-12 FG), 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal helping Griffin and the Pistons get their third win in great fashion. Stanley Johnson who came off the bench was a big help to the Pistons dropping 21 points (7-9 FG), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 3 blocks providing a very good all round game with a very efficient scoring night.

Stand outs from the New York Knicks include Tim Hardaway Jnr. who scored 19 points (5-15 FG), 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals and Allonzo Trier who scored 24 points (7-11 FG), 10 rebounds, and 7 assists providing a massive effort off the bench for the New York Knicks but unfortunately their was not enough fire power on the team to mount a come back.
