I was very excited to see how this match up would go with the Golden State Warriors and the Detroit Pistons as the Pistons have been in red hot form lately and displaying very good team basketball with the likes of Blake Griffin returning to all-star caliber performances. The return of Stephen Curry also made things a lot more exciting as the Warriors have regained majority of their fire power but the Pistons had all the answers. The first quarter came to a finish with scores tied at 24 with exciting plays from Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson who really helped get the Warriors moving but the efforts from Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond helped the momentum of the Pistons and were able to remain competitive with the Warriors. The second quarter is where Steph Curry started to insert himself into the ball game but the Pistons had a groove going which couldn't be stopped at outscored the Warriors 30-22 and things started to go downhill from there. Blake Griffin and the Pistons proved to be too strong for the Warriors with many hustle plays and great shooting never letting the Warriors regain any momentum with Blake Griffin sealing the deal in the fourth quarter with a step back 3 with 2 minutes remaining in the ball game solidifying the 111-102 win for the Detroit Pistons

Upcoming Games

The Detroit Pistons next match up against the Oklahoma City Thunder which should prove to be a very competitive match up and we will see if the Pistons can improve their 13-7 regular season record.

The Golden State Warriors face the Atlanta Hawks which should be an interesting match up with the Warriors being the favorite but the team chemistry isn't what it use to be like so Atlanta might have a chance and we will see if Golden State can improve their 15-9 regular season record.
