This is my new series where i recap some of the greatest NBA player's careers and what they delivered to the league and the unique qualities and aspects that separated them from the rest. Today we will explore the career of the one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball and is widely considered "The GOAT'' to many is none other than Michael Jordan. Jordan was a 6'6 shooting-guard for the Chicago Bulls who dominated the NBA league during the 80s and 90s creating a dynasty that NBA fans will never forget. Michael Jordan was able to amaze fans with his incredible ability to leap over defenders and come down with some ferocious slams that will be remembered for eternity as well as displaying one of the most complete, deadliest mid-range games that was impossible to guard. Michael Jordan is a story of hard work and determination which enables individuals to achieve accomplishments that they never thought was possible. Jordan was told that we was never good enough to play NBA during his College years and yet he trained and worked on his game to go along and dominate the league and become the best scorer in the existence of the NBA.

College Career (1981-1984)

Jordan wasn't always the dominating, high-flying phenom that the league grew to love and a lot of persistence and determination went into allowing Jordan dominate the league like he did. Jordan's first college season where he attended North Carolina was the lowest scoring seasons of his careers as he averaged 13.5 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, 1.2 steals per game, and 0.2 blocks per game. Jordan wasn't able to go for the NBA draft as he was told he was not good enough and had to decide whether he wanted to keep training hard and go for the NBA or pursue another career. Jordan returned to his second college season dramatically improving his game where he averaged 20 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists per game, 2.2 steals per game, and 0.8 blocks per game improving in all areas except his assists. Jordan still couldn't enter the NBA draft and still hard to continue to work hard and returned to a third season of college basketball at North Carolina where he averaged 19.6 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game, and 1.1 blocks per game displaying a very good all round game throughout the season and continuing to improve his numbered finally getting the chance the enter the NBA draft.

NBA Career (1984-2003)

Michael Jordan was the third overall pick in the 1984 NBA Draft to the Chicago Bulls behind the number 1 pick Hakeem Olajuwon who went to Houston Rockets and the number 2 pick Sam Bowie who went to the Portland Trailblazers. Jordan was very determined to enter the league with a bang and did just that improving his offensive game to ridiculous extents and providing one of the best rookie scoring seasons that has ever been done before. Michael Jordan, in his first season at the Chicago Bulls, averaged 28.2 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, 5.9 assists per game, 2.4 steals per game, and 0.8 blocks per game achieving an incredible rookie season posting some mind blowing statistics which resulted in Jordan winning the 1984-1985 Rookie of the Year award.

Michael Jordan continued to dominate the league with incredible moves and ridiculous offensive abilities that the league had never seen before and this led the phenom to have some stellar seasons. In his third season at the Bulls, Jordan averaged 37.1 points per game which has the highest of his career and is absolutely ridiculous for the era in which he played in. Jordan would continue to battle the Bad Boy Pistons in the playoffs and struggle to overcome Magic's Lakers with the Bulls lacking the necessary firepower and teamwork that was required to be a championship team. And then everything changed. The Chicago Bulls drafted Scottie Pippen in 1987 which gave Jordan the man he needed to finally reach the NBA finals.

The superstar duo of Jordan and Pipper finally reached the NBA finals in 1990 where they came up against Magic Johnson, Kareem and the Los Angeles Lakers and gave Jordan his first opportunity and clinching an NBA title. The Chicago Bulls beat the Los Angeles Lakers in ridiculous fashion getting the 4-1 victory and marking the first time in history that the Bulls would beat the Lakers in a final series and give Michael Jordan his first NBA ring. The duo of Pippen and Jordan would then follow this effort up attending next year's NBA finals where the Chicago Bulls faced the Portland Trailblazers where Jordan took over giving the Blazers no chance of competing and ending the series 4-2 and Jordan would claim his second NBA championship along with his second NBA Finals MVP. The Chicago Bulls would then attempt to go for the three-peat and verse the Phoenix Suns in the 1993 NBA finals led by Charles Barkley who was the league MVP of the year. Jordan would never let a series go to seven games and he truly backed that up in this series against the suns ending the finals 4-2 and giving the Bulls their third straight NBA title.

Michael Jordan then took the next year off due to family issues and other factors such as fatigue and personal issues, Jordan would return in the 1995-1996 NBA season where he averaged 30.4 points per game, 6.6 rebounds per game, 4.8 assists per game, 2.2 steals per game, and 0.5 blocks per game. The Chicago Bulls would return to the 1996 NBA finals where Jordan would try improve his legacy and attempt to win more NBA championship rings. The Bulls faced the Seattle Supersonics in the NBA finals where Jordan showed off averaging 27 points per game and dominating every single game winning the series 4-2 and winning his 4th NBA title along with his 4th NBA finals MVP. But Jordan was not finished there, himself and the Bulls would then return to the 1997 NBA finals where they would face the Utah Jazz again winning the series 4-2 proving the the 90s was the era of the Chicago Bulls with Michael Jordan leading the dynasty. The Chicago Bulls would then again attempt to win their second three peat in a string of 7 years facing the Utah Jazz for the second year in a row to see if they could stop Jordan and the Bulls. For the fifth NBA finals of Jordan's, he would end the series 4-2 and claim his 6th and final NBA championship along with his 6th NBA Finals MVP. This would be the end of Jordan's NBA championship run where the phenom would go undefeated 6-0 in the NBA finals.

Jordan would then go into retirement for the second time which is very unfortunate because he missed out on a lot of statistics which he could of added to his awesome career but decided to return to the Washington Wizards from 2001-2003 where he played his final 2 seasons of basketball.
