The match up between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Charlotte Hornets went to the wire with the Australian Ben Simmons coming up big defensively against Kemba Walker of the Hornets forcing a shot clock violation and getting the 76ers the win 133-132 in overtime. The contest was a very close one with both teams staying neck and neck throughout majority of the ball game. Ben Simmons had a very good performance, finally demonstrating the potential that a lot of NBA fans see him having in the future. The Australian dropped a total of 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 13 assists nearly clinching a triple-double and finally posting a stat line which truly represents the versatility of the big man point guard.

Joel Embiid continues to dominate the NBA and impress fans and players around the world continuing to add to his ridiculous stats for the 2018-2019 NBA season. The Philadelphia 76ers big man scored a total of 42 points, 18 rebounds, and 4 assists providing to be too much to handle for the Charlotte Hornets. Embiid shot a total of 16 free throws in the fourth quarter and overtime displaying the big man's ability to get to the line and not shy away from knocking down must needed buckets. It is very impressive when a 7 footer doesn't avoid going to the line in crucial moments and the determination and consistency displayed by Embiid to develop a good free throw to help his team get over the line. Big men have not had the best history with free throw percentage but Embiid's ability to have an excellent inside game with fancy footwork and great positioning as well as finishing it off with a high percentage free throw proves to be a force which is starting to insert himself in the MVP discussions.

Kemba Walker was the honorable mention for the Charlotte Hornets with the veteran point-guard dropping a total of 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists but failing to come up big with the buzzer beater due to Simmons overwhelming defensive presence. The Charlotte Hornets next face the Detroit Pistons which should prove to be an interesting game. The Philadelphia 76ers next face the Memphis Grizzlies to see if they can keep their win streak alive. Below are highlights of the game in case you missed it :)
