The New Orleans Pelicans impressive 3-0 start to the season has come to the end after dominant performances from Ricky Rubio and Rudy Gobert along with assistance from Donovan Mitchell beat the Pelicans comfortably 132-111 ending the impressive start of the season that the Pelicans had going.

With Anthony Davis missing from the starting line-up, the undefeated Pelicans team were no match against the unlikely firepower displayed from Ricky Rubio who dropped 28 points (8-14 FG), 6 rebounds, 12 assists, and hitting 9-9 from the free throw displaying unusual characteristics from the point guard who is not usually known for his scoring. This was accompanied by Ruby Gobert's 25 points (11-13 FG), 14 rebounds, and 4 blocks displaying ridiculous efficiency from the floor shooting a field goal percentage of 84%!

Donovan Mitchell assisted the win against the Pelicans with an impressive stat line of 22 points (7-10 FG), 6 assists, and 2 rebounds giving us insight into the dominant performances that the Utah Jazz can display against tough competition in the Western Conference. Nikola Mirotic was the only individual from the Pelicans to show any sort of resilience posting a good stat line of 25 points (10-18 FG), and 8 rebounds but showing not enough against the firepower of the Utah Jazz. Both teams are impressive forces in the West and future showdowns when both sides are at full strength will prove to be interesting battles further into the season.
