Another one of my favorite NBA finals would have to be the 2013 NBA finals between Lebron James' Miami Heat and Gregg Popovich's San Antonio Spurs! This series had me on the edge of my seat as it was a close, intense 7 game series between the two most dominant forces in the NBA at the current time. This was a heavy weight battle which contained a lot of exciting and nervous moments which any NBA fan loves to watch. I rank this my second favorite NBA finals so far.

The first game between the two powerhouses was a close one with the Spurs getting the victory 92-88 proving to be a low scoring contest with high intensity defense. Tony Parker high scored in game 1 dropping a total of 21 points.

Game 2 between the two sides was more one sided with the Miami Heat taking an easy victory from the Spurs with scores being 103-84. Mario Chalmers high scored in this game dropping 19 points evening the series at 1-1.

Game 3 was very one sided with the San Antonio Spurs showing why they were the number one team in the West that year beating the Miami Heat 113-77. The Spurs dominated this game with Danny Green scoring a game high 27 points with three after three giving the Spurs a 2-1 lead.

The Miami Heat bounced back in Game 4 with 'The King' finally having an aggressive game in the series dropping 33 points against the Spurs to get the win 109-93. This evened the series 2-2 and set up for an interesting finish to the finals

The San Antonio Spurs were too strong for the Miami Heat in Game 5 winning with a score of 114-104 with Tony Parker high scoring with a total of 26 points giving the Spurs the 3-2 lead and a chance to close the series.

Now comes Game 6... A must need win for the Miami Heat and a chance to head into Game 7. The contest was a close one throughout the ball game with both teams determined to beat the over and intensity was at an all time high. I remember sitting nervously as each possession being so crucial and important.

Now the defining moment in the series.. With the Spurs leading in Game 6 95-92, The Miami Heat have position with 18.5 seconds left in the game. Lebron James heaves a downtown three to try even the score but with no luck. Chris Bosh hustles for the rebound and passes to Ray Allen in the corner who takes a step back and drills the three to even the contest. I remember going crazy when Allen hit that three truly saving Lebron's legacy in such a must needed moment from a role player. The Miami Heat were able to capture the overtime Game 6 win 103-100 with Lebron James dropping a total of 32 points to give the MVP his second 30 point game of the series.

A lot of excitement and tension went into Game 7 with both teams so desperately wanting another NBA championship. Lebron James excelled in game 7 dropping a total of 37 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. With the Miami Heat being up 90-88 with 28 seconds remaining, Lebron James pulls up and hits a mid range jumper in Kahwi Leonard's face to put the Heat up 92-88 ending the ball game.

This was a very awesome NBA finals which i highly enjoyed and resulted in Lebron James getting his 2nd championship. Ray Allen's three was one of the most clutch shots i have witnessed in my life and was a great to actually experience the feeling when he dropped it!
